3: Some information about Grand Lake St. Mary's
A: Located in Mercer and Auglaize County, Between Rt. #127 and 29 in St.Mary's. This lake is app. 9 miles long and 3 miles wide, With 52 miles of shore line. St.Mary's has many stopping points for camping, boating and relaxing.
B: Grand Lake St. Mary's is a shallow lake with depth varying from about 4 feet in back channels and some points on the lake, to about 14 feet near Windy Point and Safety Island. This hasn't slowed the bass and crappie fishermen one bit, with an annual bass and crappie tournament held between April and July.
C: Grand Lake St. Mary's has some of the best boating around, Sailing and Power Boats alike. We have one of the oldest boat clubs in Ohio on the lake, with some of the best Sailing from Lake Erie to the Gulf of Mexico. (Thank You Bruce Allen)
